After graduating RISD, Al became an advertising art director, eventually operating his own advertising art studio. He's represented by the Donovan Gallery in Tiverton; 5 Main Gallery in Wickford; and is a member of the Providence Art Club, Rockport and North Shore Art Associations, and the Rhode Island and New England Watercolor Societies.
