There's intrigue at work here - with a touch of the lessons conveyed by Fairy Tales - in this serigraph by printmaker Daved Ferrell of Providence. It's engagingly titled Promises of the Dog, Lies of the Wolf. And if you look closely, the wolf's unmasked shadow appears in the upper-left corner.

Daved operates the start-up serigraphy/intaglio studio, Pomegranate Press Printmaking, here in Providence. A recent transplant from Washington State, where he had served on the board of Seattle Print Arts, Daved's work has been shown in several Washington and California shows and is part of the permanent collection of the University of Washington. His work was also included in a special exhibition, A Common Language, in Shenzen, China.
