Description

World War II German Antiaircraft Soldier’s Helmet

This helmet will interest serious collectors of World War II military items.  It was recovered by a U.S. soldier in North Africa and brought back to the U.S. where it has remained in his family ever since.

The helmet is in remarkable condition. The exterior is in very good condition with a clear, legible German insignia over the front visor, and legible inscriptions in the helmet. The leather helmet liner is intact; the small head size suggests a young soldier. The leather chin strap shows little wear perhaps indicating the wearer was just assigned to the antiaircraft battery.
