Description

Cameron Hughes wine will provide a case of Lot 189 2008 Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon to the winner of this item.  Rated 4.5 stars on the Cameron Hughes website, the wine is described this way: "Inky dark red with a rich ruby rim, this wine shows floral notes of violets and fruit aromas including blackberry, cherry, and blueberries. The bouquet presents hints of sage and spice. Bold on the mid-palate, the front fruit flavors highlight blueberries, currants, and blackberries with some floral notes, including rose petals. The long and supple finish is rich with fine-grained tannins and a dynamic acidity."

Cameron Hughes Wines continues: "What really gives Stags Leap its terroir is the cool evening breezes from the San Pablo bay and rocky volcanic soils. Combined with the eastern exposure, this is an ideal place for growing grapes. The oak on this wine comes from great cooperage—some new French oak, some old—and it really shows. At the end of the day, folks, this may be the best Stags Leap Cab that we've put out and an extraordinary value at that."
