Join Derek Burns, the Estate Chef at Benchaya,the castle-like Hillsborough estate of Fran and Bobby Lent, and world renowned wine expert Tim Hanni, for a culinary adventure you'll remember for a lifetime! These culinary craftsmen will treat your party of 12 to an exclusive multi-course dinner with specially chosen wines. Tim will join your party and offer his unique perspective on "balancing" food and wine flavors.

Evening begins with sumptuous appetizers in the “great room”, followed by a culinary fete in the formal dining room.  After dinner, retire to the “Grand salon” for dessert and a private performance by Krista Wigle, a lyric coloratura soprano. Ms. Wigle's "warm and flexible" voice has been heard in the Mikado, Don Giovanni, and Beethoven's 9^th, to name a few.

Derek Burns is a well-known Peninsula chef considered one of the stars of American cuisine.  He has served as Executive Chef at the acclaimed restaurant 231 Ellsworth in San Mateo, the Chef de Cuisine at Stars in Palo Alto, and as a chef at the award-winning Masa's in San Francisco. 

Tim Hanni is an internationally renowned ‘flavor maven.’ A professionally-trained chef, he is one of the first two resident Americans to successfully complete the examination and earn the title Master of Wine. He is a Certified Wine Educator accredited by the Society of Wine Educators. He has been involved with wine- and food-related businesses, education and research for over thirty-five years. Hanni has a unique perspective on food and wine, providing a modern and innovative approach to the subject.
