Jan Singer attended The Cleveland Art Institute and Western Reserve University. She received her BFA in painting at Memphis College of Art, Memphis, Tn. in 1976. This artist has shown internationally, nationally, and locally. She also has a big following in Jonesboro, Ar. where she shows at Sara Howell’s Art Gallery.

In Memphis she has pieces in the Memphis Brooks Museum and the Memphis College of Art. Art work by Jan Singer is also in collections at The Tennessee State Museum, Nashville, Tn. ; Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Gatlinburg, Tn.; Buckeye Cellulose, Memphis, Tn. ; Glazer Steel, Knoxville, Tn. ; The Law Firm of Farris, Warfield and Kanaday; and Holiday Inns, Executive Suites, Austin, Tx.
