Joyce Birkenstock received her training at the University of Dallas, the University of Iowa, the Norton Art School, the Art Students League, and the Vermont Studio Center. She is affiliated with the American Artists Professional League, the American Society of Portrait Artists, the Atlanta Society of Portrait Artists, the National Association of Women Artists, and the Painters of America. She has received awards at exhibits in New York, South Florida, Washington and more. Joyce’s work has been displayed by Disney Productions; the Macon, Georgia Historical Society; the Cornell Museum in Delray Beach, Florida; the Florida National Bank in Jacksonville, Florida; the Diocese of Miami, Florida; the Diocese of Palm Beach, Florida; the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida; the Latner Foundation; and Fairfield University. Her work is included as a sample in The Best of Portrait Painting, published in 1998 by Northlight Books.
