Guatemala can be a country categorized as a region of unequaled natural beauty.

Although an estimated 60 percent of the people live below the poverty line it is evident in artwork, such as this cross, that they do not neglect the rich abundance color and beauty found in nature.

Crosses, like this one, are hand painted on wood and depict the flowers, birds, butterflies, homes, animals and trees found in the country side of Guatemala.
