Lady Spring Painting

Rachel Piering is a South Florida artist. She graduated from Stetson University with an M.B.A. and minor in Fine Art. She has participated in several juried group and solo exhibitions at numerous galleries throughout Florida. And, added to her list, the Chicago Tribune Art Festival in Chicago and a solo exhibition in Honduras. She is a two time grant recipient from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. Funding supported her first solo show at Uncommon Gallery, in Ft. Lauderdale and the "D.B.A. 2010" exhibition at the Broward County Library. The “D.B.A. Group” exhibition represented 10 South Florida artists and was her first experience as curator.

Over the past five years, she has developed an artistic style that is easily recognizable and uniquely her own. Her paintings focus primarily on incorporating female portraits as both the portal for expressing her thoughts and as a reputation of beauty. Her paintings are BRIGHT and BOLD and often utilize blended colors and amplified textures. Her tag line sums it up: “Love to Live. Live to Learn. Learn to Love.”

This is her second time involved in the Food For The Poor “Bidding For Good” auction. Last time, her painting sold in the first day! Buy for you or for a gift…it’s all for a great cause! Her topic of expression is Sociology, specifically the role of women; and the Environment. Artwork is categorized into three series: "Art for Life" - "Ladies" - "Enviro-Art." Her artistic style is bright and bold incorporating blended colors, clean lines and texturized accents. Female forms are a representation of beauty and portals for communicating reality in an unrealistic way.
