A Master Roaster like those at Java Brewing are similar to a chef. A chef uses spices and oils to bring out the flavor in foods and their Master Roaster use applied heat to coax wonderful hints of flavors and unlock the fabulous body, creating a perfect balance only by adjusting the flame on the roaster. This happens with hand roasting under the watchful eye of a trained roaster. Differences in barometric pressure, temperature and humidity are all taken into account. It is an art form that takes many years of training to perfect. Each batch is then cupped to ensure consistency.
