The 95th Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It will be the premier event of the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series season. The race will be the third of the three-year long Centennial era, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (1909) and 100th anniversary of the first Indianapolis 500 (1911).
