Hearing impairment affects seven out of every 100 school-age children and four of every 1,000 newborns.


An audiologist identifies and monitors hearing loss and auditory processing disorders to ensure prompt medical treatment, educational intervention and/or recommendations for rehabilitation.


This item is for a two-hour job shadowing experience with Audiologist, Amy Oliver, as she works with kids and their parents to test for hearing loss. 

Special Instructions

Children must be 12 years of age or older to participate. A chaperone is recommended for children between the ages of 12-18.  Adults may bid. This job shadowing experience is good through January 1, 2012.


A certificate will be mailed to the winner.  Please allow two to three weeks for delivery.
