Description
Make a difference in a child's life! Sponsor a deserving child's week of camp at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center (CVEEC). Your donation will provide a scholarship to an underprivileged child from Northeast Ohio to attend the residential environmental education program. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend a week in their national park.
"All the Rivers Run" is a four day/three night residential program for fourth through eighth grade students and teachers. The award winning curriculum is regularly updated to incorporate many of Ohio's current academic content standards in science, math, social studies, language arts, and technology.
The program utilizes a thematic and interdisciplinary approach that focuses on the Cuyahoga River watershed. Students learn the concepts of energy flow, biodiversity, inter-relationships, cycles, community, change, sustainability, and human/earth interplay. Students are then challenged to apply their knowledge through an inquiry and problem-based learning exercise. Each lesson builds upon the previous one to create an integrated learning experience.
Special Instructions
Your bid on this item will be a donation directly to our Scholarship Program of the CVEEC and is fully tax-deductible.
