Mr. Griest's Classroom Art - "...Where No One Has Gone Before"

Item Number: 199
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
The piece was inspired by the "name art" in Mr. Griest's classroom. The compass rose is made entirely of sections of maps to represent finding direction in life. Each section has been uniquely decorated by an individual student, including one by Mr. Griest. For the background, each student layered on shimmering paint to create the look of nebulae. They also splashed the sky with stars. The very center of the Compass Rose is Lake Oswego, but there are entire galaxies of possibilities to discover!
