TRANSITION TO HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH with the Head-Royce Summer Program

Taught by the dynamic Head-Royce English teacher Kelly Brown*, this course will provide extra support for the transition from Middle School to High School English with primary emphasis on reviewing essentials and previewing critical 9th grade concepts in literature and writing. Moreover, the course will address important High School academic skills: note-taking, managing a calendar and the ninth grade workload, test preparation, self-advocacy, and more. Based on the HRS English curriculum, this course was developed by HRS 9th grade English teachers for its debut in summer 2010.
