"Faith, Hope, Love, Knitting" autographed by author, Lorna Miser

This book by Lorna Miser, of Lorna’s Laces, features projects she has made to commemorate the important relationships in her life. The stories are heartwarming, and the photography is exquisite. The stories behind each project are very personal, and range from funny to sad, and often spiritual. It’s a book of inspiration from life and faith as much as knitting.

Each of the 24 patterns is rated as beginner, easy, intermediate or experienced. There are no instructions on how to knit, but the patterns have extensive notes. The projects range from small to quite complex, in traditional but lovely designs. There are even instructions for making knitting needles, suitable to do with older children. The projects from this book would make beautiful, heartfelt gifts (as they did for Lorna as she created them), and the book itself would be a lovely gift for a knitter who considers her knitting a spiritual act.
