"When Can I Go Home?" by Joseph J. Sivak, MD

A truly unique and unconventional memoir that is abundant with insights seldom written about, by a writer with dual perspectives: a caregiver to his mother with Alzheimer's and a physician treating countless victims of mental illness and Alzheimer's disease.

In 1979 most people never heard of Alzheimer's disease including a seventeen year old young man thrust into the role of primary caregiver to his mother.
