Description

A beautiful hand-carved djembe drum from Ghana, Africa. This is a mid-sized drum with great sound! The head has "hair" for greater tonal range and was put on by Paul Solano here in Sebastopol.

The traditional djembe is a goblet-shaped hand drum with rope runners.  They are hand-crafted from a solid piece of hardwood with inner carvings that produce a wide range of tones.  Originating in West Africa, the djembe was used as a gathering drum and today is popular worldwide for people of all ages.

It's all tuned up and ready to be played!
