Here's your opportunity to have 10 one-hour fitness training sessions with your very own personal trainer, Bill Carter, one of New York City's premier personal trainers.
Bill brings all his experience to bear in a workout which stresses technique, placement and alignment for an efficient, effective and safe workout. Strength training, core work and streching are taught in a way that has practical application in real life, not just in the gym. By really learning and understanding the principles he is teaching you, you will be an active participant in the workout rather than being just a passive recipient. Fostering independence and self-reliance gets you to a point where you own the the tools to be fit and when that happens, when you make that behavioral change, being healthy becomes a way of life, not just something that you start when you think you need it or when you realize swimsuit weather is looming!
Bill is certified with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has been a fitness instructor for over 27 years. He started while still a student at Hunter College where he was majoring in dance and minoring in human movement studies. While at Hunter, Bill studied under teachers from ABT, Jose Limon Dance Co. and Nikolai Lewis. He was also on scholarship for 2 years at the Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance. Before moving into just fitness, Bill danced with many companies, notably Changing Times Tap Dance, Leigh Whiteman, Tigressa Samba and The Trackadero Gloxinia Ballet Company. He performed in such venues as LaMama ETC, P.S. 122, the Joyce Theatre, SOB nightclub and the Mermaid Parade.
Bill has also had extensive experience with yoga and Pilates and for 7 years mentored with professional bodybuilder Nicole Bass.
Special Instructions
This item is not valid for anyone who has won this item in the past. Winning bidder must contact Bill within 30 days from Casino Night, on 2/12/11. Sessions can take place at winner's home or your gym if gym allows independent trainers to enter. Also, Bill can take clients to several gyms where they charge a nominal fee.
