The plaque dimensions are 6"x6", fired in light blue glaze, depicts the Tyler Davidson fountain on the front. The Tyler Davidson Fountain " The Genius of Water" is one of the city's most famous symbols and one of the area's most-visited attractions.

The following poem is engraved on the back, in addition to the Rookwood seal. Dedication of the Tyler Davidson Fountain on October 6, 1871.

May our whole lives, while here,

Be Like this fountain near,

As pure, as brightly clear,

As blest thier flow.
