Corita Kent was an activist, artist and teacher most famous for her outspoken political pop art of the 1960s (anti-war, pro civil rights). She is gaining popularity today and her works are in the permanent collections of the Hammer Museum, National Gallery, Whitney Museum, Museum of Fine Art among others.
