Cal Adventures is the Outdoor Experiential Education Program at UC Berkeley. Through our instructional sailing, windsurfing, and sea kayaking classes and various custom designed trips and day programs, our purpose is to provide you with new skills, adventure and memories that will last far beyond the event you take part in.  Affiliation with the University of California is not required. 

Start a new adventure and learn to sea kayak with Cal Adventures. This five session kayaking course is designed for beginners and paddlers looking to review the basics and build on their basic skills. This course covers similar material taught in the SK Mini-Comprehensive in addition to two evening sessions in the pool, allowing students the opportunity to be introduced to the foundations of rolling in a controlled environment. This course will expose you to a variety of fundamental skills needed to develop into a well rounded paddler. The goal for this course is that you are prepared to rent and use sea kayaking equipment safely at numerous bay area locations.
