Ceres is the ancient Roman goddess of the harvest. Ceres' Table is Chef Giuseppe Scurato and his wife, Carolyn's, restaurant, serving contemporary American food, with an Italian -- and in particular, Sicilian -- influence. According to legend, she was born on the island of Sicily, which is where Giuseppe was born as well. She also graces the top of the Chicago Board of Trade building, placed there in tribute because it was trade in grain that helped put Chicago on the map.
