Description

Ten lucky people will travel through time to the top of Spring Mountain in St. Helena to Smith-Madrone Winery and enjoy a tasting with owner-brother-winemakers Charlie or Stu Smith before proceeding to a spectacular expanse of lawn looking out over the mountains and floor of the Napa Valley where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch along with the winery’s estate-vineyard Riesling, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Your lovely lunch will begin with assorted specialties from long-time St. Helena favorite, Villa Corona, and conclude with the amazing apricot tart with cornmeal crust and apricot sauce from another St. Helena favorite,  Knickerbockers’ Catering. The group will leave with one set of James Conaway’s two books on the Napa Valley---Napa: An American Eden and The Far Side of Eden: New Money, Old Land and The Battle for Napa Valley. Stu Smith will autograph them specially for you---he’s featured at great length in The Far Side of Eden, and they were graciously provided by yet another St. Helena favorite, Main Street Books.
