Description

NYC History Tour for Two

Experience the history of New York City through guided walking tours with our History Teachers and Museum Educators. We offer a number of sample programs and will happily curate tours to meet your specific interests.

Select from one of the following programs:

Program 1: Neighborhood Tours of NYC (all ages)

Do you know what Bryant Park and Washington Square Park have in common? Ever wonder how the Brooklyn Bridge was built? Choose the neighborhood or landmark of your choice: Midtown sky-rises, the inspiration for West Side story, Central Park’s Sheep Meadow, Rockefeller Center and Its History, What Lies Beneath Washington Square Park and Bryant Park, and many more.

Program 2: Lower East Side Tours (a great activity for visiting friends and family, too!)

Explore the gateway to America with your family. Step in the footsteps of thousands of immigrants on a unique walking tour and uncover the history within New York City’s streets. Each Lower East Side experience is customized to support your family’s special interests and can focus on art, architecture, Jewish history, or immigrant culture. Possibilities include visits to boutique galleries, ethnic eateries, the Lower East Side Tenement Museum and the National Historic Landmark 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue.

Special Instructions

Tours are generally 90 minutes and available on weekends.

Tours do not include admission, if applicable.

Expires: September 2011
