Description

Ceramic Platter

This oversized, hand-painted ceramic platter features a festive “balloons-and-confetti” theme.

Each child in Karen Dunner’s 2nd grade class participated in its creation by selecting their favorite paint color and putting a painted fingerprint on the platter (The grass/air/sky background was hand-painted on the platter ahead of time).

Then, details were added in black and others colors, to turn the fingerprints into balloons sailing skyward, and create confetti scattered throughout the platter.

Each child’s name was painted in black on the back of the commemorative platter, before the platter was glazed and fired in the kiln.

The finished, glossy ceramic piece measures 16 inches by 16 inches, and can be used as a party platter for foot service, or can be displayed as an art object.

This is a Live Event Item.
