Framed Korean Painting of the Seven Stars Spirit - (The diagonal line across the top of the painting is a reflection and is not part of the painting. The painting is in excellent condition.) 

 
Chilsong, the Seven Stars Spirit of the Big Dipper is a highly revered and ancient deity in Korean Shamanism that controls good and bad fortune. This important deity is personified by seven figures, one for each star of the Big Dipper. The figure with the large forehead is the North Star Spirit. He is the ancient Korean God of Longevity, and his name is Bukguksongshin. His large head represents his great wisdom. A delightful mid-20th Century rendering with beautiful, flowing costumes. Frame: 38 x 27.5 inches (96.5 x 70 cm), Painting: 28 x 18 inches (71 x 45.5 cm). 

Special Instructions

This piece of Art has been donated by a family and is in great condition. There is one flaw (of unknown origin) on the right shoulder of the central figure. (see photo)
