Mirrored Guinness signs are replaced with original work by neighborhood artists and brunch is favored over happy hour. There is an outdoor patio where locals talk politics and after-work VPs come to feel like they’re slumming it. Things are simple here, with no fancy drinks to speak of; there are 14 kinds of beer on offer. Everyone seems nice enough, but there is still no way to shake the feeling that all this shouldn’t be going on a place named after the ancient Irish pagan religion that involves human sacrifice.
