Treat yourself or your favorite music lover to two adult or child half-hour introductory piano lessons at Salem Piano Lessons studio on Front Street in Salem. Salem Piano Lessons welcomes students of all ages, levels and abilities, including those students with special needs. The ladies at Salem Piano Lessons believe that sharing music with others is like sowing seeds in a garden. Learning is a process and a journey. They want students to find the joy in learning, so that they will develop a lifelong love of music and uncover their creative potential. Salem Piano Lessons teaches with creativity and compassion, seeking to adapt to each student's unique needs. Since not everyone learns the same way, their main goal, as teachers, is to create a genuine connection with each student. This trust encourages self-motivation for students to learn and have discipline. True discipline cannot be imposed, but is gradually developed by consistent practice. This is an ongoing process, reinforced at home, with long-term benefits in all areas of life. Salem Piano Lessons teaches all ages, from four years old to adults. Young students, ages 4 to 6, learn very quickly and their creative level is high. We teach with many fun activities, a CD accompaniment, colorful characters and interactive games. Students also learn through computer activities. Little children learn to play the piano, read music, play with rhythm and advance at their own pace. Adult students come with a variety of life experiences and develop the ability to express them in music. If you took lessons as a child and are returning, or have never played the piano but want to start, treat yourself to piano lessons and discover the music in you! Salem Piano Lessons offers activities for all ages and opportunities for students to meet each other, including group workshops, parties and performances, a musical production and recitals. What kind of skills will you learn at the piano? You will learn traditional technique, theory, ear training, rhythm skills, some composing and improvising. You will be exposed to classical, 20th and 21st century repertoire with an introduction to blues, jazz and popular music. Lessons are also supplemented with technology and music software.
