This is a new, beautifully hand-embroidered velvet bag, with drawstring closure, from Japan.  The embroidery has been done with silk ribbon.   In a deep, rich aubergine, lined with silk taffeta.   The bag measures 6.5" wide and 8" tall, and the drawstring closure is set approximately 2" down from the top.   A lovely place to keep special pieces of jewelry.
