Have you been to the Autry National Center lately?  Founded by Gene Autry in 1988, this is an intercultural history center dedicated to exploring and sharing the stories, experiences, and perceptions of the diverse peoples of the American West.  This museum-plus-education-plus-research institution is located near the LA Zoo and truly is a gem!
