Begin your session with a relaxing, releasing, rebalancing 30-45 minute period of massage/bodywork, on a softly padded floor with clothes on, in a quiet Sebastopol setting.  Then either continue simply receiving the luxurious bodywork, or move into bringing your embodied presence into deepened awareness and creative expression. We can do this through authentic movement, drawing dialogue, animal totem shamanic process, tantric breath practices, moving meditation, sitting meditation, psychodrama, poetry therapy, body prayer, soul singing and dialogue.

 Amrita’s bodywork is informed by Breema, Shiatsu, Swedish, Lomi Lomi Sacred Massage, Therapeutic Touch, Phoenix Rising Assisted Yoga Therapy, mindfulness, and unconditional loving presence.

In addition to training in many holistic modalities, Amrita has a BA in Biopsychosocial Health from Yale, a Masters Degree in Counseling & Consulting Psychology from Harvard, and a Masters Degree in Expressive Arts Therapies from Lesley.  In addition to offering individual sessions in person and by phone, she teaches classes, workshops and retreats in the U.S. and abroad, from the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in New York to the Cholula Retreat Center in Mexico. She taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn for 5 years at UMass Medical Center. She lives in Sebastopol, California, with her two children who attend Waldorf-methods charter school, and is currently working on a spiritual adventure novel.
