AMC Theatres (American Multi-Cinema), officially known as AMC Entertainment, Inc., is the second largest movie theater chain in North America with 5,325 screens and one of the United States's four national cinema chains Regal Entertainment Group, National Amusements, Inc. and Cinemark Theaters.  Having a long time history beginning in 1920, AMC was the first that pioneered the first North American megaplex when it opened the AMC Grand 24 in Dallas, Texas, in 1995.
