This handblown irridescent vase was made by local artist Todd Hansen of Art of Fire glassblowing studio in Laytonsville, MD.  It is about 9.5" tall and and 6" wide at the widest part.

Art of Fire is a contemporary glass studio with unique handblown art glass for sale.  Resident artists teach the art of glassblowing.  One can also rent furnace time for your own projects and bring in damaged porcelain and ceramics for restorations.  Or just go watch as they make their unique hand blown glass works of art.

Todd Hansen joined the studio in 1999.  Each artist brings his own individual and collaborative style to the Art of Fire while assisting with production and instructing glassblowing classes. They also assist with glass classes at Corning Glass Studio in New York.
