When there is plenty of wine, sorrow and worry take wing.

2005 Torbreck "The Struie"
Barossa Valley Shiraz
3 Liter bottle
Australia's Torbreck is a Barossa Valley benchmark, and one of the world’s greatest
wine estates. The top cuvees are limited production and hard to find. The 2005
Struie by Torbreck was sourced from the cool Eden Valley and Barossa Valley
hillside vineyards.
Robert Parker gave this wine 94 points and noted the vine's ages range: from 46-
110 years old. The wine was aged for 18 months in older French oak before being
bottled unfined and unfiltered. It delivers a splendid bouquet of lead pencil, game,
blueberry muffin, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by an elegant Shiraz,
which is nevertheless full-bodied, dense, and richly flavored. Plush on the palate, it
has superior depth and length and the structure to evolve for 6-8 years. Drink it
through 2027.

This massive, full 3 liter bottle of the 2005 Struie is certain to be a crowd pleaser
for the right occasion.
