SINGING IN THE LODGE-CAMP SINGING CD

Item Number: 133
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
There are 19 songs lasting approximately 53 minutes including Stewball (the fast version), Tom Dooley, Drunken Sailor, Sally Brown and Whiskey in the Jar. Long time song leader Tim Lamont made the original recording sometime in the 1970’s. He hung two microphones from the rafters in the Lodge and recorded several sessions of singing, then consolidated the songs onto one old reel-to-reel tape. A copy was made and later the music was transferred to a cassette tape and from there to a CD. The CD was recorded in the Lodge not in a studio, but you will have no trouble singing along. In some songs you can hear the violin of Roy Stillwell, long time Henderson and later Nor’Wester music staff. Since the tape was made about 35 years ago there are a couple of songs that are no longer sung at camp. This is part of your past - make it part of your present and future and bid generously!
