Description

Cream stock is stacked and ready to be printed on a Chandler & Price letterpress. You provide your preference for a first or last initial. Cumbersome Multiples uses antique Hamilton Wooden type — the irregularities in the letters contain all the good impressions that they have made in the past. You will make excellent impressions with handwritten notes! Notecards come with corresponding envelopes that are printed in gold ink with  SWAK "sealed with a kiss".

Special Instructions

Portland-based print and design collective led by husband and wife artist team Daniel Duford and Tracy Schlapp, Cumbersome Multiples collaborates with artists and writers to create limited-edition multiples using a 1928 Chandler and Price letterpress, a cabinet of mixed lead & wooden type, block prints and whatever else happens to be in the studio. Cumbersome Multiples also produces small-batch paper ephemera such as cards, notes and stationery.

Tracy Schlapp was a camper from 1979-1981. She worked in the kitchen in 1983 (as part of the pantry/check out staff ever!  — Ann Shipley, Katie Miller, Cathy Helliwell, and Angela Ellsworth); adobe oven (first session)/wayfarer counselor (second session) in 1984; vagabond counselor in 1985; and  wayfarer counselor in 1987. At night, Tracy sings camp songs with her 3.5 year old, Devlin to prep her for her first summer away.
