"Pink, Purple, Orange" is by local artist, Julie Weiman.  It is a 9x18, mixed media on panel, 2011.  

Julie Weiman is a well-known local artist and has had numerous exhibits at The New Art Center in Newton, The Bromfield Gallery in Boston, and The Bow Street Gallery in Cambridge, among other local galleries.  She is represented by Andrea Marquit, Marquit Fine Arts, Boston; Stephanie Breitbard Fine Arts, Mill Valley, CA; and 
Bromfield Gallery, Boston.

Curator Ceci Mendez has said, "Julie Weiman creates abstract paintings of lines. The surface of each painting on panel has a minimum of six layers of acrylic medium, rice paper, and gesso before paint is applied. The subsequent process involves both adding and sanding the paint and media, each piece resulting in an insistent and multi-layered accumulation of paint that demonstrates Weiman's devotion to the process of mark making."
