Whale watching on the Yankee Freedom this summer, not only will you learn about whales from qualified naturalists, you'll have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with researchers working as trained crew members onboard the whale watching vessel. Yankee Whale Watching is taking education to a whole new level with an entirely new program designed to give whale watching passengers the very best learning experience.

On the whale watching trip, you'll have the opportunity to listen to whale sounds, handle real whale artifacts, and even participate in plankton tows, water visibility analysis, and temperature measurements.

Children can enjoy learning about whales by participating in whale crafts and special onboard activities including: origami whale making, whale tail matching and whale naming games.
