Maulsby Kimball was a man with a specific vision and purpose to his art.  Kimball was a follower of Anthroposophy and used his paintings to provide a visual upon which to mediate.

This is a wonderful painting, measuring 16" x 20", and is painted in washes on fine quality Arches France paper.

Maulsby Kimball 1904-1987. Educated at the Art Students League NYC; the School of Fine Arts, Buffalo; and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia. He was also the art director at Bryn Mawr for a time, as well as President of the American branch of Anthroposophy.
