Artist’s Statement:

At my old job, Christmas time seemed to be an open season for a silent baking competition among my women co-workers. Martha Stewart’s Christmas cookie designs were the golden standard. If they were able to mimic the design, they were elated by the praises of the group, as in this painting, where she dances on top of the conquered cookie.
