Artist’s Statement:

Anne Kolin translates on the canvas the modern marks of our environment. Mankind has become urban: Half of earth now lives in cities and this proportion will grow to reach   70 % by 2050. Urban life deeply transforms our society, our way of life and our cultures. The association of posters, graffiti, tags and other pictorial elements covering city walls lead the artist to self-questioning. Anne Kolin was born in Paris and joined Noho Gallery in 2008. Prior exhibitions took place in France and Germany.
