Artist’s Statement:

Born and living in Paris, Martine Villandre studied fine Arts at Arts Décoratifs of Paris. She has created a personal language of radical abstraction structured in squares and rectangles. Using acrylic paint, she builds her works from vertical blocks of color, subtly infused with line and texture that create unexpected tensions from within. Colors interact and lines interconnect forming works of a sophisticated personal vision. She has had many personal shows and her work is held in public and private collections world-wide.
