Numerous day trips can be taken from the house including Gavarnie Circus (1 hour) a natural amphitheatre scoured out by a glacier, Lourdes (1 hour) or Basque country (Bayonne, Biarritz) only 2 hours away if you want to spend some time on the beach.

Spain is only 20 minutes away with many typical villages to visit and lots of excellent cheese to taste.
