Lona began her artistic endeavors at only three years old. Born in Sacramento, California, Lona was encouraged to paint, sculpt, and create and has continued developing her artistic expression till today. She earned a BS in Graphic Design from San Jose State University and has pursued a well-received career in graphic design since then. Lona did, however, take a sabbatical from this profession in 2000, when she moved to Paris, France to concentrate on her endeavors as a painter. During that year she traveled, drew, painted, and generally refined her artist style.

Lona's artwork, before and since that remarkable sabbatical, has been appreciate around the world. She has shown her art across the country, from New York City to Hawaii. Lona has also won a number of national awards for her work as a graphic designer, including numerous American Graphic Design Awards, an Addy Award, and the Benjamin Franklin Best in Show Award.
