Enjoy two great reads... "American Terroir," by Rowan Jacobsen a book about “taste of place" a phrase originally used by the French to describe the way that local conditions such as soil and climate manifest themselves in the flavors of foods and wine.  Also enjoy "Bitter in the Mouth," by Monique Truong, a novel that becomes a moving investigation of invented families and small-town subterfuge, a search for self heightened by the legacy of Vietnam and the flavors of language. Both books donated by Rakestraw Book in Danville.
