Join Urban parent – and master sommelier – Evan Goldstein for a dynamic wine tasting and gourmet dinner at an Urban family's stunning, art-filled home in Tiburon. You and your group of 8 Urban parents will take in the breathtaking view as you enjoy a glass of truly extraordinary wine, your first of several unforgettable wines chosen for you by Urban's own master sommelier. Your sumptuous dinner will be prepared by your talented hosts: Sandy and Harlan Kleiman, Robert Kline and Denise Wang Kline, Evan Goldstein and Barbara Pino. While the menu naturally dictates the wines, Master Sommelier Goldstein will pair each of the dinner’s courses with a personally selected and seamlessly matched wine. Evan will share how a master sommelier uses his expertise to create a harmony of flavors for the guests. Your dinner is scheduled for May 21 or September 17, 2011.

Evan has recently published two critically acclaimed books on food and wine combinations entitled Perfect Pairings and Daring Pairings.   One of only 171 people in the world to have earned Master Sommelier certification since it was first granted in 1969, he became the eighth American and youngest ever at the time to pass the prestigious Master Sommelier examination in 1987. Over the years Evan has created professional education programs, wine training and service hospitality schools with Seagram Chateau, Estates Wines Company, Diageo, Allied Domecq, and Beam Wine Estates and today is the president of his own global wine education company. As a founding board member, Evan continues to train and examine candidates for the Court of Master Sommeliers. He is an editor for Singapore’s Wine & Dine magazine, a regular on Ronn Owens KGO program, and a recurring guest wine expert on NBC’s “In Wine Country.”  An undisputed expert, Evan’s wine selections are sure to complement each course of the elegant feast.
