April 5, 2011: Seasons and the Sea Tuesday Classical
Corine Brouwer is the concertmistress of the Winston-Salem Symphony, Robert Moody’s “other” orchestra. PSO concertmaster Charles Dimmick will solo with WSS in 2011 through a unique artistic exchange.
April 9 & 10, 2011: PSO Pops! presents: Elvis Lives
There’ll be a whole lotta shakin’ going on at Portland Symphony Orchestra's last Pops! show: Elvis Lives: A Tribute to The King of Rock and Roll. Nashville’s Elvis Wade is not just another impersonator, he’s as close to the real thing as it gets! Join him and conductor Robert Franz on Saturday, April 9 at 7:30pm or Sunday, April 10 at 2:30pm at for a night of Elvis's music you'll never forget!.
May 1 &3, 2011: Classical: Daphnis and Chloe
The final concert of the PSO’s 2010-11 season features Ravel’s full score for his ballet Daphnis and Chloé, notable for its rhythmic diversity, lyricism, and evocations of nature. Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto features PSO principal bassoonist, Janet Polk.
