Located on a quiet stretch of Route 133 next to the Wayne Post Office, Tubby’s has been churning out the some of Maine’s best ice cream since 2001. In addition to a full menu of burgers, lobster rolls, and phenomenal hot dogs (with grilled, buttered buns in true New England style), Tubby’s boasts unique ice cream flavors with high-end ingredients that belie this humble shop. Although a few benches are available by the order counter, regulars are more likely to be found sitting out back by the lake. Try their  unique flavors like Cinnamon Trail:  cinnamon ice cream studded with raisins, cranberries, coconut, M+Ms, and chocolate chips, or Tree Hugger: just like the the topping on your mom's apple crumble, the smooth texture of maple ice cream which is pleasantly interrupted by rolled oats.
