Description

Bid on this antique Cathedral Pickle Jar  featuring aquamarine colored glass and a hexagonal shape with fancy gothic arches and 3" wide panels.  The mouth of the jar measures 2 1/2" in diameter.  The jar measures 13 1/2" in height x 5 1/2" in width at the base.  In excellent condition.

Cathedral pickle jars contained store-bought pickles. They were made from 1880 to 1920 and were often embossed with a gothic pattern. Colors include aqua, dark green, and amber. The deeper the color and the more intricate the design, the more valuable the bottle.
